We enjoyed spending a week in Arkansas visiting with my father-in-law, Don, and I drove to Monticello to spend time with Mom & Dad and enjoy a Christmas luncheon with cousins, Aunts and Uncles on my Mom's side - dare I say "the Watts Klan". Here is a link to a gallery of pics.
I'm experimenting with audio now and created a podcast weblog using a free service called podbean.com. It started with my simply wanting to create a list and post audio files to my blog. I realized that blogger didn't support this with any ease and through my search I think I have stumbled over something that could be pretty cool and do more than I originally intended. Once again I am amazed with the seemingly infinite resources that are available on the Internet.
I got a great deal today on a used FOBA SUPERBALL BALLO tripod head. With one knob I can easly position and secure the camera at any angle and it's large enough to handle the heavier weight of my F5 camera body with ease. Sweet!
The lighthouse tour was worth seeing and the view from the top was worth the trip. The Fish Boil supper and the cherry pancakes at breakfast at the White Gull Inn in Fish Creek are a must!
I finally did it. I shut down my personal web site. I felt there were too many options today to display my photos and express myself. I have this blog and www.kentotten.smugmug.com for my photography. I think I'll like the convenience of ordering prints, bound photo books, etc. using SmugMug. It's good to try new things now and then.
Julia was just notified that her photograph of "Robert & Shadow" has been accepted as an entry in the Arkansas Art Center Regional Delta Show. It is a real honor just to be selected as an entry out of thousands of submissions from the surrounding states. Way to go Julia!
Harry Smith, a friend who works at the Federal Reserve Bank sent this picture to me. He really knows what he is doing when he goes fishing and I think he could be a professional fishing guide if wanted to be! Harry caught these in Algoma, Wisconsin.
We went to Branson Friday and came back Sunday. Enjoyed seeing mom and dad and they took us to dinner and a show on the Showboat Branson Belle. The food was excellent, the service was great and the entertainment was great too.
A friend that's now retired and that I worked with when he was at Boeing/CDG - Jody Null and I went to Montauk for a day trip to fly fish. I caught a few but Jody did really well. When he caught this big fish I had to take a photo for posterity. The weather was great and the crystal clear spring fed streams kept us cool on this hot summer day.
